Week 2 100 Words

I have been in many different communities in Hawai'i. Good examples that help define your values and/or guide your actions depends on the type of person you are or who you want to be. For me personally I enjoy being in a community that is positive and helps connect you to your family and friends. Being connected to your culture or roots is also very important to define my values and/or guide my actions. My community respects each other, teaches one another, and spends time with one another. Being close with my community has shaped my values overall.

1st Blog Entry

 Some expectations I have for myself in this English 100 class is making sure that I am making my future writings, essay, or speeches, good enough. I have always been better at English compared to other classes so I am hoping that I can continue to make proficient essays, or other types of writing throughout this class. Some fears that I have about this class is that I will not be able to keep up with the readings and writings. I want to push myself to complete all my work in this class and not fall behind with everything else going on like my other classes or with outside life like work or home activities.
